I’m a new mom, just doing the best I can to figure it all out.

Hi, I’m Maddy. In August 2020, in the midst of a global pandemic, I gave birth to a perfect baby girl. She’s amazing and enchanting and oh shit, I’m responsible for teaching her and feeding her and clothing her and not letting any of the children’s toys that seem to be determined to hurt her do so. So, just a few things. I’ve temporarily traded in 50-60 hour work weeks for the stay-at-home life and am doing my best to navigate through truly unfamiliar territory: I do crafts now.

Join me as I work through my (many) neuroses, doing what I can to laugh at the hard days and only cry about how beautiful my kid is once a day (ok, maybe twice). We’ve got house projects and cooking and all kinds of things to accomplish. Eventually, I’ll go back to work, and I’ll have to figure that out too. It’s all thrilling, folks, so buckle up.
